Amanda’s Massage and Bodycare
By Kimberly
Wilson
ATMOSPHERE/AURA - Charming, quaint and altogether reminiscent of another time period. Treatment rooms have dimmed lighting and as you lay under heated blankets, soft mellow notes waft through the air tickling your ears while aromatic oils tease the senses.
STAFF - Friendly and knowledgeable about the Napa Valley area.
Ask for restaurant and winery recommendations and upcoming Napa
Valley events.
SERVICES - Massages are performed with scented oils which are
heavenly to breathe in. Try one of the four scented aromatherapy
oils – Relieve, Revitalize, Relax, and Restore – with your massage.
One masseuse used several fist-in-a-ball techniques across my
shoulders and neck to create a loose, fluid feel to the entire
upper half of my body. In addition to massage therapy, the spa
also offers an array of body treatments (Shea Butter Body Wrap,
Ear Candling, Hot Stone Hand & Foot with Reflexology, etc.) and manicures and pedicures.
PRICE – Very reasonable and affordable. Treatments range from
as little as $22 for manicures to $75 for body treatments like
Hot Stone Hand & Foot with Reflexology. Amanda’s Massage also offers spa packages which are higher in price, but are great values.
TIPS & SUGGESTIONS
(1) Keep in mind that there is only one station for manicures
and pedicures if you are planning a “Girls Gone Wild” day consisting
mainly of nail treatments.
(
2) In the rainy season, call one to two days ahead for an appointment
and Amanda’s Massage will more than likely have availability.
However, things heat up in the summer, so be sure to make advance
reservations if making future travel plans.
