Louis M. Martini WineryMARTINI VINEYARDS

The Martini family has always placed great stock in their vineyards, and through three generations they have worked under the guiding principle that fine wine starts in the vineyard. Today, the family owns more than 600 acres of vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties, supplying about 75 percent of the grapes used in making Louis M. Martini wines. Located in such renowned appellations as Russian River Valley, Sonoma Valley and Chiles Valley, the Martini vineyards represent decades of painstaking research by the Martini family to identify and propagate superior grape clones and to match specific grape varieties to microclimates and soils. Four Martini vineyards lie within a 25-mile radius of the winery in St. Helena.

Louis M. Martini WineryMONTE ROSSO

The Monte Rosso Vineyard captures the essence of Louis M. Martini Winery. It's a historic property, one of the oldest vineyards in Sonoma County, and the rugged mountainous terrain is ideal for growing premium wine grapes. Named for its distinct reddish soil, Monte Rosso has achieved legendary status as the source of consistently superb, long-lived Cabernet Sauvignons and Zinfandels.

Louis M. Martini WineryLOS VINEDOS DEL RIO

The Martini family's Del Rio Vineyard rises up from the banks of the Russian River, six miles south of Healdsburg in Sonoma County. As one of Martini's leading Merlot vineyards, Del Rio yielded the grapes for the first varietal Merlot made in the United States: Louis P. Martini's 1968/70 bottling.

GHOST PINES

The picturesque Ghost Pines Vineyard is nestled in the rolling hills of Chiles Valley (Napa County), 12 miles east of the winery. Along with Monte Rosso, this property, at 700 feet above sea level, is a high elevation vineyard, with a climate that is cooler in winter and slightly warmer in summer than the rest of the Napa Valley.

Louis M. Martini WinerySUNLAKE VINEYARDS

In addition to their three primary vineyards, the Martini family owns 220 acres of additional land in Pope Valley (Napa County), of which 50 acres have been planted. This land represents the Martinis' commitment to the future, and careful evaluation and experimentation have been conducted to determine which varieties grow best on this property.
