THE RESTAURANT
The upbeat cafe offers a country Italian decor. The spacious dining room gives an open and inviting style to the restaurant.
Huge jars of olives and brightly preserved condiments decorate the bar that offers a multitude of wines, champagnes and beer.
There is plenty of space between the 30 tables, and quiet conversations can be had even when dinner music is playing.
JOE SALERNO: CHEF & OWNER
Owner of one of Napa Valley’s most popular Italian restaurants, Joe Salerno and his wife Cathy are now beginning their 8th year of operating Piccolino’s Italian Café.
He can usually be found at Piccolino’s talking to his customers or at one of the many Napa Valley events and charities serving up samples of his cooking skills.
PICCOLINO'S WINE PROGRAM
There are several criteria when choosing wine for Piccolino's wine menu. This is to say that quite a few of the wines that you see on the restaurant’s wine list are not necessarily the perennial favorites you may see elsewhere but, instead, hand selected bottles from areas unfamiliar to most such as Puglia or Sardinia. As for local wines, although our restaurant is located here in Napa, we do not limit ourselves to the wines of the Napa Valley but see all of California as local. You will not only find selections from Napa Valley, but Alexander Valley, Anderson Valley and Contra Costa, in addition to other wine-growing regions. With our regularly changing wine menu, we are committed to finding the best wines with the best value to bring to our customers. Value is paramount. We are proud to offer wines that offer extraordinary quality for price and, equally important, wines that pair well with our delicious cuisine.
ENTERTAINMENT
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday Nights
Steve Albini strolls through the restaurant with his accordeon singing Italian songs while customers enjoy a taste of "Old Italy Night". Steve is a regular at Piccolino's and his reputation abounds in Northern California.
Saturday Night
Helen Mead is a local Napan, recording her first CD this Fall. Helen sings beautiful melodies dating as far back as the '20's, including beautiful Edith Pilaf songs that make diners swoon! Helen is much loved in Napa and Piccolino's is extremely happy to have her play each Saturday evening.
