Winemaker Ralf Holdenried says of the Estate, "William Hill Estate provides me with everything I need to make great wines. The winery and vineyards are just the right size for making fine wine. I can check on fermentation in one of our steel tanks, then walk through one door and I'm in the barrel cellar. My vineyards are literally right outside my door. This place was clearly designed by winemakers for winemakers."

Ralf produces three tiers of wine;

Napa Valley Wines
The Napa Valley bottlings focus on balance, forward fruit flavors and the elegance that marks the William Hill Estate signature style. While these wines offer additional complexity with proper aging, they are wonderful wines upon release.

Reserve Wines
The Reserve wines offer more intensity, bigger structure and bolder fruit character nicely wrapped in our signature elegant style. When cellared properly, these wines will age gracefully for many years

Tasting Room Exclusive Wines
These very small lot wines are handcrafted from our Estate grown Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. They are just available to visitors to the winery and through the Connoisseurs Wine Club.

2005 Napa Valley Chardonnay
This fruit forward style of Chardonnay has a refreshingly crisp acidity and classic cool climate Chardonnay flavors of orchard fruits and citrus. It’s an easy drinking wine by itself or with food

2005 Napa Valley Reserve Chardonnay
Rich and layered, Golden Delicious apples, orange zest and vanilla begin on the nose and carry through to the palate. It has a creamy mouth feel coming from ten months of sur lees aging in French oak barrels. It is a balanced wine with a delicate mineral essence that extends through the long lingering finish.

2005 Estate Cabernet Franc
Our Estate Cabernet Franc has the classic elegant qualities associated with this varietal. It has delicate aromas of ripe cherry and smoke with a mélange of currant, cherry and dark chocolate in the mouth. Aged in 100% new French oak barrels, it has a lovely balance of ripe fruit and juicy acidity, topped with soft tannins.

2004 Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
This Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon shows concentrated black fruit and bright raspberry flavors. It is a powerful wine that also shows the balance and refinement that is characteristic of Cabernet grapes grown on the Silverado Bench.
