Almost 30 years ago we canvassed the globe in search of idyllic terrain for growing classic Champagne varieties for our sparkling wine program. We found it in Carneros, Northern California's then- undiscovered appellation characterized by well-drained hills, bay breezes and coastal fog. We learned its nuances and how to grow the finest quality Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay there. |
