| Highlighting the flavors of Napa Valley and Sonoma's Russian River Valley, Girard produces wines that feature both power and finesse. Girard has gained critical acclaim not only for excellent wines, but also for "overdelivery" of quality at their price points. Two perfect examples of Girard’s over-delivery of quality include: the 91-point Wine Spectator-rated Estate Cabernet from Girard's vineyards on Pritchard Hill ($75), and the 93-point Wine Spectator-rated Diamond Mountain Cabernet ($75), which were both rated among wines that sell for $150-$450. Girard's Bordeaux blend called Artistry ($40) was rated "5-Stars, Best of the Best" by Quarterly Review of Wines, alongside wines that were priced at 5 times the price of Artistry. Winemaker Marco DiGiulio, hailed by the Wine Spectator as "one of Napa’s leading winemakers", deserves much of the credit for Girard's success. Marco’s philosophy is to make wines that are not highly stylized in the lab, barrel and tank, but rather reflect the true flavor and texture characteristics of the appellations in which the grapes are grown. "At Girard, I work with high quality grapes that most winemakers can only dream of. Each year, I extract and retain the most of what each vineyard has to say about itself." Girard's wines include Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Old Vine Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah, Russian River Chardonnay, Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, Pritchard Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, and Girard's signature Napa Valley Bordeaux blend, Artistry.
