All guests are proudly invited to observe our "Award Winning" Executive Chef Kelly Macdonald and professionally trained Culinary Staff through glass as they busily prepare each guests' menu selections in our onboard professional restaurant kitchen while utilizing regional ingredients of the highest quality.

Our 1950 glass-topped car is beautifully appointed in velveteen high-backed chairs for maximum comfort and elevated seating to capitalize on the surrounding scenery during the 3-hour dining excursion. Additionally, the Vista Dome car has a separate cooking facility in which guests are prepared 'California Market Fresh' Cuisine and are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine.

A lavishly restored 1915 vintage turn-of-the-century Pullman carriages replete with swivel lounge chairs, love seats, rich polished woods, etched glass, custom designed carpeting and fine fabrics. Guests especially enjoy visiting the Wine Tasting Lounge Car, offering over 30 wine varietals of Napa Valley wines for sampling at a nominal additional charge of $5.00 for four samples. Our knowledgeable Wine Education Staff is always ready to answer questions regarding 'food & wine' pairing suggestions, winery tour information or general information about Napa Valley.

Q. Does the Napa Valley Wine Train stop at Wineries?

A. The Napa Valley Wine Train offers two wineries tours in conjunction with the luncheon excursion. Passengers can choose the Gourmet Express Package with Grgich Hills Winery or Domaine Chandon. Grgich Hills Package is available Monday through Friday year round. Domaine Chandon Package is available Friday through Sunday.

Q. Is Wine Included?

A. Wines are included during the Friday’s Vintners Luncheons, the monthly Appellation Dinners, the monthly Moonlight Escapade Dinners and for all guests during the informal Wine Seminar prior to boarding the Luncheon Excursions. Cocktails and beers are available onboard throughout each restaurant. Additionally, over 100 wines are on the wine list and in the Wine Tasting Car.

Q. Can we get off the Napa Valley Wine Train?

A. Passengers cannot disembark anywhere other than the Yountville Station or as a part of the Domaine Chandon or Grgich Hills Luncheon and Winery Tour Packages.
