Built in 1879, the Napa Valley Opera House was the first historic performance venue in the Napa Valley. Known in its heyday as "The Jewel of the Napa Valley," the theatre has been lovingly restored to its original splendor by master craftsmen. An excellent example of Italianate Victorian style, the second-story theatre is unusually intimate. The 500-seat house was designed for comfort and contains excellent sight lines and acoustics. No patron is more than 16 rows from the stage, thanks to an ample orchestra section and ingeniously-designed balcony.

Since its grand re-opening in August 2003, the Napa Valley Opera House has showcased a diverse array of artistry including performances by Wynton Marsalis, Kris Kristofferson, Roseanne Cash, David Grisman, Los Lobos, Ailey II, Ben Gazzara, Judy Collins, Woody Allen, Indigo Girls, Madam Butterfly, Queen Latifah and more.
