A
whimsical swirling red sculpture stands at the entrance of HALL Wines in St.
Helena, welcoming you into a place where artisan wine, modern art, rich history,
and warm hospitality converge effortlessly. The San Francisco Chronicle recently
applauded our visitor experience as "Excellent," explaining: "The
Halls have assembled an outstanding staff -- knowledgeable, personable and
studiously avoiding any suggestion of wine snobbery.... The overall feeling,
from the time you park your car amid handsome grape plantings, is enjoyable." (San
Francisco Chronicle, November 3, 2006)
Vintners Craig and Kathryn Hall opened their St. Helena winery in this historic
location in 2003, fulfilling Kathryn's dream of continuing her family's winegrowing
heritage. Since then, this burgeoning winery has established itself as a seriously
dedicated boutique producer of Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,
Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. Owning five premier vineyards across the
Valley and employing meticulous winegrowing and winemaking practices, HALL
strives to craft vibrant wines that express the true character of both the
fruit and the land.
