William Hill Estate is renowned for crafting elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot wines due to its exceptional location just off the Silverado Trail in southern Napa Valley on the rolling hills of the Silverado Bench. William Hill founded this Estate Winery in 1978, purchasing 200 acres of which 140 acres are planted to vine. Once classic in style, winemaker Ralf Holdenried has successfully transitioned our wines to a more refined and sophisticated style with fruit intensity and layers of complexity. Ralf’s innovative and progressive approach to grape growing and winemaking enhances the unique style of our Napa Valley wines.

William Hill Estate produces two Reserve wines, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The Cabernet Sauvignon is an Estate wine from the best blocks within William Hill Estate’s own vineyards. The Chardonnay is crafted from Napa Valley’s finest vineyards in the Carneros and Atlas Peak appellations. They are both elegant and rich, displaying intense fruit flavors with layers of complexity. This combination of unique characteristics allows these wines to cellar gracefully over time. In addition to our Napa Valley and Bench Blend wines, the contemporary tasting room offers small lot Bordeaux varietal wines such as Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot made exclusively from William Hill Estate’s vineyards. Tours and tastings are by prior appointment which allows a distinctive level of personal service throughout your experience.
