HESS COLLECTION

The wines of The Hess Collection embody the finest expression and dedication of the winemaker's art. The flagship Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the unique character of the powerful mountain grapes grown on the volcanic slopes on Mount Veeder. The newly-introduced Mountain Cuvee is a proprietary blend of estate grown Bordeaux and Rhone varieties. The grapes for the Mountain Cuvee are grown at the highest elevation and reflect the many terroirs of our steep Mount Veeder slopes. The Hess Collection Chardonnay is elegant and supple. The exceptional fruit that creates this Chardonnay is from marine climate vineyards in the rolling hills of southern Napa Valley.

HESS COLLECTION SMALL BLOCK SERIES

The Hess Collection Small Block Series are wines crafted from vineyards of distinction. Most Small Block Series wines are produced in quantities less than 300 cases and are sold through the Exclusive Offerings wine club and the winery tasting room. Recent wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Syrah, Syrah Rosé and Late Harvest Riesling. Future releases will include Petite Sirah, Malbec and Zinfandel.

HESS ESTATE

The Hess Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon combines the power and structure of our Mount Veeder vines with the bright fruit of the Napa Valley floor. The fruit is chosen from vineyards in several districts in the Napa Valley including Dry Creek, Oakville, Mt. Veeder and with the 2001 vintage, the newest vineyard in Pope Valley.

HESS SELECT

The Hess Select wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Syrah. Our vineyard in the Pinnacles area of Monterey County provides the fruit that is the backbone of the Hess Select philosophy. Additionally, we also blend grapes chosen from some of California's greatest wine regions to produce wines that emphasize the crisp, fresh, and true varietal fruit flavors.
