The Hess Collection extends a warm invitation for you to visit our tasting room, galleries and the garden in full bloom. The walk up the path to the Visitors Center at The Hess Collection takes you past the reflecting pond where goldfish frolic between the burgeoning water lilies. Inside the thick cool stone walls of the original turn of the century winery are the galleries and tasting room, where our current releases are available for tasting. Come to Mount Veeder for the cool mountain breezes and wonderful wines. The Visitors Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please call us at 707- 255-1144 ext. 237 for further details.

Once you leave the environs of the city of Napa, the drive to the winery follows a beautiful winding road bordered by a spring-fed creek, hillside vineyards and verdant forest. The road got its name from several redwood mills that once produced the lumber to build San Francisco. From Highway 29 take the Trancas Street/ Redwood Road Exit. Drive west on Redwood Road for 5 miles There are two large signs along the way to guide you. Your trip to the winery should not last more than ten or fifteen minutes. The Hess Collection Winery is on the left hand side at 4411 Redwood Road -- just beyond the Mont La Salle conference and retreat center.
