When David Abreu began farming our land, he took the advice of Andre Tchelistcheff, the vineyard’s original manager: "Listen to the vines. They will tell you what to do." We believe great wine is made in the vineyard. With David's help, we’ve replanted with over 30 clone-rootstock combinations for flavor diversity and subtlety from our five varietals of vines. Since 1990, our organic farming methods, meticulous crop thinning and individual berry sorting at harvest time have helped us to make wines that consistently earn high ratings in wine journals, and in numerous competitive blind tastings. James Laube has called our Cabernet "tremendous" and Robert Parker has called our Chardonnay “brilliant,” but most importantly, we hope you will enjoy them in good health!
