A FAMILY TRADITION Five Generations of Napa Valley Excellence Raymond Vineyard & Cellar was founded in 1971 by the father and son team of Roy Sr., Roy Jr., and Walter Raymond. The quality of the wines attracted immediate attention from wine writers, competitions, and wine consumers. As the reputation for Raymond fine wines was established, Roy Jr. and Walter increased the case production, narrowed the varietal choices, and began to concentrate on Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. They began construction of the present day winery in the mid 1970's and added a Visitor Center in 1985. The annual case production is now approaching 300,000 and Raymond Vineyard & Cellar is well known throughout the country for premium wines. The original 90 acre vineyard has been expanded to include 250 acres in southern Napa County and 300 acres in Monterey County.
